Boys Night Out

Comedic, moving and brutal, Boys Night Out combines drag, dance and storytelling to explore the ghosts that haunt the Australian psyche while interrogating the roles of sexuality, gender, race and class in our country today. Originally from Sale, drag queen Olympia Bukkakis has worked with writer and director Allison Wiltshire in Berlin and on Wurundjeri, Woiwurrung and Gunai/Kurnai land to conjure the masculine archetypes of white Australia. Boys Night Out tells the story of a wild night out, but also how this country came to be what it is today.
